This graph reflects data collected about the category of a survey question from “U.S. Public Wary of Biomedical Technologies to ‘Enhance’ Human Abilities.” The question asked if technology was a net positive, negative, or combination of both for society. This chart reflects the “negative” responses and breaks down the reasoning as to why people view technology as a net negative. This chart is an expansion of the first (Figure 1), which simply shows the distribution of how many think that technology is a positive, negative, or combination of both. This inclusion of the newer chart helps to branch out and elaborate on why people believe technology is negative.
