ila4imageIn this chart, the rate of change of income in the metro Atlanta area is shown through a linear line graph. Between 2014 and 2015, the average household income increased by $5,000, which directly correlates to device ownership, which in turn results in social media use as seen in the previous graph. Whether or not the increase in income was a constant one is not specified in the original data source, however my graph makes the assumption that it was. I think it’s fair to assume that an increase in income has an effect on the amount of device ownership in the millennial group from my previous graph; as income increases X number of dollars go towards financing a household’s cell phone plan.
